A Research Of Zhou LiangGong's Activities On Traditional Chinese Painting

Zhou LiangGong is a well-known collector and connoisseurs of late Ming and early Qing, he got quite a good collections and have read countless painting during his life. More importantly, Zhou LiangGong had friends—especially many important artists of late Ming and early Qing—all over China, therefore there is a high research value in his criticisms and study of paintings as well as his own works. This paper is a comprehensive study based on Zhou LiangGong's criticisms including《The Paintings Reading》, his own works and other art-related activities. In this paper, the author sought to show the viewer a full image of Zhou LiangGong as a connoisseur and to get summarized characteristics of his art-criticisms as well as his aesthetic tendency.
