| So far ,China is going through an entirely new social transformation which is never existed before.In the course of the current social transformation a large number of social problems has appreared because the surplus labour force in countries or villages flock into cities.becoming an unprecedented upsurge of floating people from suburban to urban.Reseaching for crime of floating people is a weak link of the social problems which will lead to a serious effects,which it is of important significance both in theory and practice.I The meaning and the characteristics of Chinese socialtransformationSocial transformation is not only a developing process with overall view as a whole ,but also a special alteration in structure that is a transition of soial structure formation from one kind to another kind .And it is difficult to draw a clear chasm between these two kinds of socialformations..The Chinese social transformation is unprecedented in speed and scope depth or difficalty,and all with its own characteristics,it should be as the soial structure and the social institution in abreast large extent social floating and unusual charactersII The criminal situation and characteristics of the floating people in cities during the social transformation period.Compared with the same period ,the criminal rate of floating people in cities has been above the average criminal rate of country and cities.It's criminal characteristics are with their obvious features of this group.
