On the basis of the study on theories and methods for farmland's grading by the numbers, with the elaborating on the Geographic Information System (GIS), the dissertation has GIS software MapInfo as the base, and develops the Farmland's Grading Information System in County(CFGIS). Five parts including the generation and the development of the study on the farmland's grading, the necessity and the feasibility in the creation of CFGIS, the base of the study on CFGIS, the design of CFGIS and the application of CFGIS are systematically discussed in the dissertation. In the first part there are introductions on the basic conception, the status and the developing direction on the study of the farmland's grading. In the second part, with the ripe theories and methods of the farmland's grading, the perfect technology of (315 and the application in the Land's Evaluation, the necessity and the feasibility in the creation of the Farmland's Grading Information System are illuminated, which is the foreshadowing of CFGIS's creation. The third part is the theory base of CFG IS. In this part, the dissertation discusses the basic principium of the farmland and GIS systematically including the theory basis, the object, the content, the purpose, the task, the principle, the program of the study on the farmland's grading and GIS's concepts, generation, developing direction and main functions. According to the study of the above, CFGIS is designed in the fourth part. Step I, with the comparison among methods and the fact of the farmland's. grading in county, the method is chosen as the method of CFGIS; Step 2, with the comparison between application examples of GIS in the farmland, the technical route of CFGIS is determined; Step 3, on the basis of the consideration on some software, MapInfo is chosen and the work of total design, the function design and the face design are completed. In the fifth part, referring to the CFGIS in the fourth part, as practices of the study on CFGIS, the farmland's grading in Pizhou County is operated. In the conclusion and recommendation part, the authors summarizes some main conclusion and advance some recommendations in order to study in the future.
