Worldwide electric power reform originated during 1980s?and 1990s? Many developed countries such as United Kingdom, the United States, Western Europe, Australia and Japan took the initiative in the reform process. In addition some developing countries also started to try their best to benefit from the establishment of power market. China is such a member.According to experience of international electric reform establishing generation-ide power market is the-rerequisite to bring competition to electric industry and develop national power market. China started its experimental units in Dongbei, Shandong, Zhejiang, and Shanghai in Jan. 2000.The purpose of the research is to find an integral scheme for independent power provider (IPP) bidding work in the environment of generation梥ide market. The research use artificial neural network to predict system marginal price of every transaction interval of in transaction day, use statistical theory to compute bidding success probability based on former prediction, and revise the traditional bidding objective function to the condition of uncertainty.This thesis provides a whole framework that functions to solve the problem of optimal bidding strategy for independent power provider. On the other side the thesis can serve as the basis of further theoretical research.
