Internet is now bringing about impacts and transformations to our times which almost relating to every fields such as economy, politics, culture, life style, thinking mode, and so on. Although the main social transform caused by Internet is in economic field, considering the importance of democracy to modern society, Internet will penetrated into it ultimately.Internet is inherent democratic. Many ideologists and scholars have depicted the vision of democracy of the future, for example participation democracy, semi-directed democracy, long-distance democracy, strong democracy, populist democracy, consumer democracy. Based on the discussion of Carl Marx and Carl Cohen, in the third part, the author analyses the potential influence of Internet on democracy and ascribe it to the two-edged comprehensive function. In the forth part, the author points out there are many theoretical limitations in the Internet anarchism. Government, as the master of politics authority, is still the pivotal and central element of the society as long as it persist in innovation. Finally, based on the practice in China and considered the intense conflict between democracy supply and democracy demand, we must properly control political participation, maintain the governments' authority, stick to the government pushing democracy pattern, consciously reject the negative component of the occidental democracy, resist democracy colonialism and democracy hegemonism, pay more attention to digital division, avoid the metamorphosis from the demos democracy to the hero democracy, set up and ameliorate digital government, consummate legal approach of politic participation. In a word, no matter when relating to the connection between Internet and democracy, or taking Chinese practice in to account, the relation between Internet and democracy is the conflict of ideality and reality. We must use practicable means to settle ideal problem, turn away from relapsing into Utopian trap.
