With the continuous development of knowledge economy, knowledge corporations spring up. Knowledge corporations invest mainly in knowledge and their purposes include inputting knowledge,spreading knowledge and innovating knowledge. Knowledge corporations adapt to knowledge economy which is built on basis of the production,distribution and use of knowledge and information. Knowledge corporation becomes the leading corporation of knowledge economy, and plays an important role in knowledge economy.There are a group of employee who have special knowledge and working experience in knowledge corporations. We call these employee knowledge workers. Knowledge workers and their knowledge are key factors in knowledge corporations. Knowledge corporation can not develop without proper motivation mechanism which can promote knowledge worker to dedicate their knowledge and skill. Thus, motivating knowledge workers is the most important job in knowledge corporation.Knowledge workers are different from general workers. Knowledge workers have such characteristics as high quality, creative labor, independence, greater need of achievement. Knowledge workers' main needs are self-development,independence,business achievement. Money is knowledge workers' inferior need. Knowledge corporations should institute motivation mechanism on basis of knowledge workers' needs and should renovate motivation mechanism according to knowledge workers' needs. Since knowledge workers' performance is difficult to measure, the motivation mechanism should be perfect. A set of perfect motivation mechanism consists of beforehand motivation, in-time motivation and afterwards motivation. Beforehand motivation is setting good working environment for knowledge workers. In-time motivation is implementing a set of equal performance appraisal system. Afterwards motivation is carrying out a set of perfect compensation mechanism and attending knowledge workers' future development.Chinese knowledge corporations have achieved some performance after over ten years' development, especially those leading knowledge corporations. Chinese leading knowledge corporations accumulate many experience of motivation. Otherwise, there exist a lot of small-scale knowledge corporations in china. These corporations lack of advanced management, which results in a lot of talents' outflow. Even those strong large-scale knowledge corporations have many serious problems on motivation. At the same time, the international situation is difficult for Chinese knowledge corporations. The need of talent in advanced countries is large, and governments of those countries take all kinds of measures to gain talents from developing countries. In order to solve the above problem, Chinese government should take active measures to attract talents. In addition, Chinese knowledge corporations should take proper motivation measures to attract and retain talents. It is the urgent problem needed solving.According to the general motivation model and Chinese current situations, Chinese knowledge corporations can take the policies of "Compensation Motivation; Environmental Motivation; Career motivation; Emotional motivation". These policies are perfect and accord with Chinese knowledge corporations. Compensation is the most important factor in motivating knowledge workers on analysis of Chinese current conditions. Chinese compensation policies are too simple to meet knowledge workers' needs. Thus , it is urgent to institute a set of compensation mechanism which combines long-term motivation and short-term motivation, and combines individual motivation and group motivation."Environmental Motivation" is supply knowledge workers with free, open and loose working environment."Career Motivation"consists of designing jobs according to knowledge workers' interest, providing knowledge workers with training plans, and attending knowledge workers' self-development."Emotional Motivation"requires that managers should treat knowledge workers sincerely, should take more care of knowledge workers' health...
