The article takes the tourism enterprises as research target. The author places the strategic alliance, which is a dominant in the international enterprises, into tourism enterprises, integrating it with the present conditions of China tourism enterprises, establishing the framework of strategic alliance for the tourism in China. The purpose of this article is to understand the features, functions and rules of the strategic alliance, to work out the way to success for the tourism enterprises.Firstly, the basic theory, such as the background, definition and the significance has been explained; secondly, the author does some explanations to the mechanism and modes of its formation, and, based on the conditions and features of China tourism enterprises, analyzes the reasons that the strategic alliance is adopted by China tourism enterprises.From the angle of strategic resources in tourism enterprises, three patterns of strategic alliance for tourism enterprises are summed up: dominant resources based; recessive resources based; and mixing resources based; and the features analyses of each has been done.Based on each patterns, the model of the strategic alliance for tourism enterprises are formulated. The author proposes five variables: "Competitive advantage", "leaders", "agreement element", and "monitor mechanism", and analyses them further. It is the competitive advantage and leaders of each that controls the strategic alliance. And the competitive advantage is usually presented by strategic resources and the corresponding abilities, the different doesn't require the same quality.The competitive advantages of each member should match each other and the leaders should establish a relationship which leads to a harmonious condition.Meanwhile, each member must make clear the purposes, scope and profit assignment. Trust and monitor mechanism are also key elements for a successful alliance. Only in this way, when crisis happens, the alliance can take measures to crack down them.
