The Third Water Conservancy And Hydroelectric Engineering Bureau Of Guangdong Province

The thesis consists of two parts: a case and the case study.In the case, the general situation of water conservancy and hydroelectric engineering industry of Guangdong province is introduced from three aspects of investment, engineering, and engineering enterprises. A series of tactic actions according to the market competition, which were carried out by the Third Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Engineering Bureau Guangdong province (TWCHEB) in the last four years, are reviewed. But these actions did not work. Today the TWCHEB lays far behind the Second Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Engineering Bureau of Guangdong province (SWCHEB), and has fallen into market trouble.In the case study, the strategic problem is discussed at first. The macro-circumstances of the water conservancy and hydroelectric engineering market of Guangdong province are analyzed in detail through PEST method. The competition surrounding and the competitors are uncovered through Porter's five forces model of industry. Then the inner facts of the TWCHEB are studied. On the analysis basis, the strategy selection is made by using SWOT method. The competition strategy of the best cost supplier is laid out. In the end, the implementation methodology of this strategy is probed.
