Research On Chinese Commercial Banks' Operation Model Choice

Following the freedom, globalization and electron of the finance, multi-operation has become one of the important development trends of international finance. As for the international scope, American Congress passed through Modern Financial Service Acts in 4th NOV. 1999, which rescinded the stipulations of limiting commercial banks, securities and insurance company to multi-operate and made America stride forward to a new era. The main economic bodies including German, British and Japan have already multi-operated, which put forward severe challenges to our banking that has entered WTO. But our Commercial Bank Law has stipulated clearly that our commercial banks' operation model is separating-operation and specialized supervision. Facing with the changes of the international and civil economical environments after entering WTO, our commercial banks should start to transform from separating-operation to multi-operation. So, researching on the development strategy of our commercial banks' multi-operation has become an important subject for the financial theoretical researchers and practical workers and it also has great significances to our banking and national economy.This article starting from comparing separating-operation with multi-operation analyzes the reasons of international baking's multi-operation in the view of institution economy, in the base of which discusses the necessities, possibilities and significances of our commercial banks' transforming from separating-operation into multi-operation under the background of international baking's multi-operation trend. At last, the paper analyzes the step of our commercial bank's transforming into multi-operation on the basis of the essential terms that multi-operation model must possess. It alsopoints out that it is the effective way to establish Chinese financial holding company and new supervision system, and provides some useful polices.
