Great changes have taken place in Chinese bankings' operating environment, banking system and functions with the deepening of reforms on economic and financial systems. The structure of Snancial market is changing from monopoly to competition; The relation between supply and demand is turned upside down from seller's market to buyer's market; And operating modes are switched from extensive operation to intensive operation. Banks are faced with pressure from all respect: the same business, capital supplier, capital consumer, potential incomer (foreign-ventured banks) and substitutes. Furthermore, China's entry into WTO will bring about unprecedented challenges and opportunities to Chinese banks. How to adapt to this ultra-competition environment has become a agent problem to be solved.The author of this paper caries out an overall analysis in way of SWOT method and Porter' Five-factor model on the internal and external environments, the same business, potential incomes and own competitive ability of China Construction Bank of JiLin City Branch. The author summarizes advantages, disadvantages, threats and opportunities of Bank of China Construction Bank of JiLin City Branch. With the help of these results, the author gives some suggestion on the developing strategy and strategy operation.This thesis is an integrated use of knowledge of subjects, such as competition strategy, management, system engineering, management of human resources, accounting, management and operation of commercial banks, marketing and economic and so on.
