The four biggest State-owned Commercial Banks in China hold the balance in assets, credits and networks in Chinese banking. After China becomes the WTO member, how Chinese banking, especially theState-owned Commercial Banks react, directly influence the future of Chinese finance, survive or perish. Also it is the puzzle of our government and banking. Now I study the problem in four parts:First Part : Through the opening history of Chinese finance, We find the opportunity and threat of the State-owned Commercial Banks by the WTO membership. Having comparing with the banks abroad and seen where the State-owned Commercial Banks lay behind, we analyse the changes of exterior condition which the State-owned Commercial Banks are facing.Second Part : By data and demonstration, the status of the State-owned Commercial Banks in Chinese banking is obviously important., We find out the strength and weakness of the State-owned Commercial Banks.Third Part : The strategic option and development strategies of the State-owned Commercial Banks by SWOT analysis.Forth Part : How the State-owned Commercial Banks implement the development strategies.
