Geopolitik Analysis Of Russia Diplomacy

As a result of the great change about the internationally geopolitic environment, geopolitik has been discussed widely since the conclusion of Cold-war. The biggest converse change of geopolitic environment, which had occurred since Moscow dukedom, arising from the disorganization of USSR, has a greater effect on Russia than Yalta agreement on USSR signed at the close of World war II .Consequently geopolitik plays an important role in the course of Russian diplomatic decision-making.The present dissertation consists of five parts. Part I involves several stages and the content about the adjustment of diplomatic strategy since Russia independence.Part II analyses the geopolitic factors in the adjustment of diplomatic strategy in Russia which is argued through the two aspects: on the one hand, the part explain the geopolitic factors which affect its adjustment. They include the geopolitic environment deteriorates greatly, geopolitic seriously affects national security of Russia, and how the argument of three geopolitik theories affects on Russian; On the other hand, the text indicates that geopolitik directly promotes the adjustment of Russian diplomatic policy, and affects the principle, method and the base of decision-making about its foreign policy.Part III concerns the six characteristics, which are educed from the geopolitic effect on Russian diplomatic strategy and are the essence of the dissertation, of Russian geopolitic diplomacy. Namely: depending on national business prosperity; pursuing permanent national benefits; safeguarding the national security; seeking the equilibrium of diplomacy in all directions; intensely realistic value orientation; and geopolitic strategy including "three-round" arrangement.Part IV analyses the restrictive factors, such as politics, economy and culture factors, and then indicates how these factors restrict Russian geopolitic diplomacy.Part V emphasizes the impact of Russian geopolitic diplomacy. It should be noted that Russian geopolitic diplomacy has two-fold meaning and thus gives rise to both positive and negative effect on China and international structure. In order to maintain national benefits to the most extent, China must adopt inflexible countermeasure to make use ofadvantages and to avoid disadvantages.The significance of this dissertation lies in: (1) that it concentrates on geopolitik, which is one of the focuses of international and Russian politics nowadays; (2) that it attempts to introduce geopolitik as a new means to comprehensively assess and analyze diplomatic strategy of Russia in the past ten more years and concludes the relevant characteristics; (3) that it wishes to make beneficial inspiration for China diplomatic strategy.
