The Inheritance And Development Of Li Tuixi's Benevolent Government Theory Toward Mencius'

For a long time, in Sino-Korea philosophic comparison, people has paid more attention to the research of mentality theory of Mencius' and Li Tuixi's, but seldom touched on their theory of kingly way. In the article, it's hold that Mencius' and Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government is the important factor in oriental cultural, in which is of positive significance to probe for its effect advocating excellent oriental cultural and establishing the native political civilization.Although Li Tuixi sincerely believes in Zhuzi's theory as a Confucianist, his theory of benevolent government differs greatly from Zhuzi's. In Zhuxi's theory of benevolent government, he emphasized the status of moral cultivation in governing country but wore down the abstract common importance of Mencius and confucius' theory of rule of virtue. In fact, Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government is closer to Confucius' and Mencius' theory of rule of virtue on the position of ontology. His standpoints of benevolent government i.e. kingly way policy and loving people and based on the illustration of human nature. He holds the kingly way policy as ideal and benevolent government as general plan for governing country. Some of his views are not only of monumental significance for the society at that time but useful for reference presently. Two approaches are employed i.e. linking history with theory and comparative research, in this article. The concrete arrangement is as the follows:Firstly, the article illustrates the Mencius' theory of benevolent government from the beginning Confucius' theory of Goodness and rule of virtue. Secondly, it inquires into Zhxi's theory of benevolent government, especially the difference with Mencius' theory of benevolent government. Thirdly, the article summarizes Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government starting with two aspects which are the theoreticalargument and content. Finally, it elaborates the inheritance and development of Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government toward Mencius' , which includes: (1) the comparison of Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government with Zhuxi's. (2) The inheritance and development of Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government toward Mencius' . (3) The historical and realistic significance of Li Tuixi's theory of benevolent government.
