In term of the current foreign policy and diplomatic measures, Putin has initiated a grand diplomatic adjustment on the basis of inheriting the diplomatic doctrine of the Yelistin era. Faced with economic and geo-political problems, Putin has to adopt more practical measures in implementing his foreign policy plans. Practical and balanced diplomacy focusing on the interests in economic and geo-political fields at the core of Putin's diplomacy. The national mentality of big power and the strategy of hiding capacities and waiting for a favorable turn of events complement each other in the diplomatic strategy of Putin.
