| Guilin is a tourism city well known both in and outside China. The rapid development of tourism across the world as well as the incorporation of downtown and the surrounding counties (herein after refer to Big Guilin Circle") in 1998 brings The "Big Guilin Circle" both competition and challenge. Tourism planning is the essential precondition for tourism development, both domestic and foreign experts have done a lot in studying or exploring the theories and practices about tourism planning. But as one of the earliest tourism city, there always appear a lot of special and unprecedented problems or challenges, these problems or challenges can not be easily resolved because there is no successful experiences and measures available, so an excellent planning of Guilin tourism should be reasonable and scientific, and should be premonitory, strategic and manipulative. Guilin is not only a famous tourism city enjoying long history and colorful culture, but also a ghetto for minorities, the various tourism resources in Guilin mean to do a good Guilin tourism planning is a very demanding job. Basing on the theories such as sustainable tourism development, tourism anthropology, region science, region development planning and sight ecology, this dissertation applies comprehensively the related knowledge ranging from history, culture, human geography, planning, tourism to analyze tourism industry in Guilin, this graduation dissertation is focusing on the case of Guilin's tourism planning in different phases, exploring the tourism planning in Guilin, emphasizing historical culture and minority folk customs, discussing the construction of culture atmosphere, meeting the trend of culture tourism, finding out the potential problems in 21st century of Guilin tourism industry in the hope of providing some useful reference on doing tourism planning to other tourism cities. This dissertation tries to find out the trend of Guilin's tourism industry in 21st century with the view of perspective, reflect and scan over the overall tourism planning and development, and finally discloses the regular connections between tourism planning and development. |
