The writer chose this title as the title of her thesis because she thought that this title has both theoretic and practicle significance. The theoretic significance lies in that although both foreign and domestic scholars have made some study on this topic, from their papers, we could not find out a definit concept of the world manufacturing center. However, in this thesis, the writer made a deeper study on this topic, and finaly made a definite concept of the world manufacturing center. She thinks that a production center is to be clustered by certain world manufacturing industries and supported by a higher and deeper industrial chain. This center should be formed on the land of China, and more than half of its products are produced for world market and its quantity of production should be more than 1/10 of the world total production. This definition has made up the bland of study on this topic and made this theory to be a complete one. As to the practical significance of this title, the writer thought that the study could clarify the fact that China is not a world manufacturing center up to now. This may to some degree help some scholars remove their worries and at the same time may accelerate the trade and cooperation between China and other countries. And China could develop its own industries. The whole paper is about 40,000 words, and its logic structure is as follows, it is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter is a summary about the overall study on this subject by both foreign and domestic scholars. And before that there is one section deals about the historic world manufacturing centers as Britain, the U.S.A.,and Japan. The second chapter is the heart of the thesis. In the third chapter, the writer deals with three questions: whether China has the objective conditions as a world manufacturing center, what are the strategies to be one, and how to carry out the measures. And the three questions go as respective section in this chapter. The last chapter deals with the relationship between China and other countries when China is on its way to be a world manufacturing center. There suppose to be the following innovative viewpoints: first, the writer made a summary about the overall ideas of both the foreign and domestic scholars, and made a conclusion of the characteristics and requirements as a world manufacturing center on the basis of study on the historic ones. Third, production center is to be clustered by certain world manufacturing industries and supported by a higher and deeper industrial chain. This center should be formed on the land of China, and more than half of its products are produced for world market and its quantity of production should be more than 1/10 of the world total production. And the writer put forward the objective conditions, measures and strategies to be a world manufacturing center. Last, the fast development of Chinese industries has led many foreign scholars think that it will produce economic decay and industrial vacancy in his country. However, the writer think that the development of Chinese industries will not lead to that bad effect and it will not theat the economic growth in Japan.
