More and more private enterprises have come to realize that appropriate use of human resource is one of the key factors to gain core competence during the process of growth and development. Scientific performance management of human resource has become an important means and development tool in HUM. It has become an important way for enterprise to utilize human resource, bring up core competence and gain competitive advantage.But when performance assessment is operated in practice, a lot kinds of problems in performance managements have be found to block and weaken the HRM' effects. Trace to its source, it's always because there are something wrong in design or operation of performance assessment.This paper focused on the study, design and operation of performance assessment system in the SF Company. Based on careful job analysis of the SF Company, this paper classified the staffs into three levels, designed plan of performance management that fits the three levels separately. The plan united the compensation system with performance assessment system, and combined the two together.The meaning of this paper is that through making use of all kinds of performance theories and skills to found performance management system in the SF Company successfully this paper provided some suggestions to performancemanagement in the Chinese private enterprises.
