A Pre-evaluation Model And Its Demonstration For Manufacturing Information System Project

Manufacturing plays an important part in Chinese economic. For manufacturing managers, the key method to win the competition is to establish an information system, which is not only the way to increase value, but also the way to survive especially after China entered the WTO.After discussing basic theories of Information System, this paper brings forward the idea for Manufacturing Information System Project.For the fact of the lack of the pre-evaluation tools and the serious demand of the manufacture, by the institutional management thoughts, a pre-evaluation model has been set up to evaluate the mature level of manufacturing corporations information system projects. With help of the tools, manufacturing managers realize the shortcomings and improve the management to keep corporation on top.In this model, the management capacity is divided into two groups: discipline and optimization. In the forward group there are three level: contacted dividing, orbital flows and tabular record level, in backward one: material optimizing, financial optimizing, brainpower resource optimizing. Focus on the key management aspect of the material, producing, purchasing, selling, human resource, finance, all levels, through the KPI method, set up all-sided indicator and corresponding tools.At last, the demonstration shows the feasibility and usability of the model in practice.
