According to the theory of input-output analysis and the features of coal industry, the coal resources input-output table filled by mathematical marks is constructed and the coal resources input-output mathematical model is built on the base of the table in the article. Then the matrix of all demand coefficients ", that is the extended Leontief converse matrix, is introduced under the condition of including coal resources department and pollution department and the general model of demand prediction of coal resources was concluded.Combining the question for study of flexible science of Shaanxi, the Research of the Sustainable Development of Coal Industry of Shaanxi province, The writer constructs the 2001 coal resources input-output table of Shaanxi and builds the 2001 coal resources input-output mathematical model of Shaanxi on the base of the 2001 datum of Shaanxi, then concludes the general model of demand prediction of coal resources of Shaanxi. By using the model, the writer predicts the total demand of coal of Shaanxi of 2005,2010,2015, then analyzes and predicts the tendency of the coal resources of Shaanxi in the future, the main conclusions are drawn as follows: in 2005, the supply will exceed the demand on the whole. But in 2010, the demand will exceed the supply on the whole. In 2015, the situation is similar to that of 2010. And as we know, the demand and supply in the coal market of Shaanxi are increasing in the future, but the increasing range of the demand is wider than that of the supply, so the tendency of coal market of Shaanxi is that the demand will exceed the supply.On the base of the above model, the writer uses the theory of the input-output analysis to predict the coal demand of the main using coal trades of 2005,2010,2015. According to the results of the prediction, the writer explores the causes influencing the equilibrium of supply and demand of coal resources of Shaanxi and provides the corresponding measures on the base of the achievements of senior person. The conclusions drown by the article may provide the essential references to the sustainable development of coal industry of Shaanxi.
