The Study On The Quality Of Life And Its Affecting Factors In The 303 Elderly In Urban Communities In Chuxiong City

Healthy aging is one of the very important measures which cope with the population aging, and is also one of the major goals for the development of society.The improvement of quality of life for the elderly is the core content of achieving healthy aging.Totally,303 permanent residents aged over 60 years were selected to be interviewed with WHOQOL-BREF and questionaire related to community medical health care for the aged. The results show that: the marks of QOL for the 303 elderly is respectively Q₁ (70.6931 ± 13.5874), Q₂ (67.3627±14.3544), SOCIL (60.6161 ±13.6835), PHYS (60.2074± 13.7784), PSYCH (59.6672± 12.4723), ENVIR (59.0965 ± 12.3367) (P<0.001) ; evaluation marks by self is higher than that by four domains (P<0.001); 78.8%⁸4.5% elderly marks mainly varies from 50 to 80,and the marks in four domains is no significant difference (P>0.05) .The four domains are interrelated and interaffected,which consist of and embody the level of QOL.Age,the prevalence rate of chronic disease ,the 2-week prevalence rate,the admission rate are the mainly affecting factors in PHYS;family average income monthly,living sources,occupation,education level are the mainly affecting factors in PSYCH; Age, marital status,resident mode, education level, occupation are the mainly affecting factors in SOCIL; marital status, occupation.satisfaction degree with medical security are the mainly affecting factors in ENVIR. The author puts forword the strategies and recommendations from individuality , family and community three facets to achieve the grand goal of healthy aging and improve the quality of life.
