A Study Of Manufacturing Industry Operation Alliance Based On Information Technology

Manufacturing is the most important pillar industry of national economy. In an industrialized country, about one quarter of the population is occupied in manufacturing and about 70 percent to 80 percent of the material wealth is from manufacturing. 21 century is a century full of hope, as well as completion, which is the same for manufacturing.The great development of information technology, with the core content of computer technology, network technology and communication technology, has brought great change and innovation to human's production and life style. The interchange of information, knowledge and technology, with the support of information technology, has turned to be more convenient and quick. At the same time, competition has turned to be more keen, and the customers' need has turned to be more individual, market is changing quickly everyday. All of these changes are both opportunity and challenge for manufacturing. More and more enterprises have been aware that it's insufficient and wasteful to compete depending on their own interior resource. Therefore, a new production style, the production and operation alliance, with the model of core competence and the objective for optimizing and integration of enterprise exterior resource, has been the choice in reality. So it's practically important to do research and discussion in this field.This paper started at the economy and technology reality of production and operation in manufacturing, and analyzed the production and operation characteristics and basic requirements in manufacturing.Second, the paper referred to the change in exterior environment, interior organization and management ideals in manufacturing, especially in the respect of huge promotion function of IT, using some economics and management theory of transaction fee and core competence, to answer why, why production and operation alliance appeared.Third, by doing the research of the connotation, characteristics, essential constitutes and operation base of production and operation alliance, we analyzed production and operation alliance deeply, to answer what and how, what production and operation alliance is and how it forms.At last, we drew conclusions from the above analysis. And through the analysis of functional need of production and operation alliance, we proposed the principal for it. On this base, this paper put forward the relevant solving ways for integration projects, network structure, software structure and database frameworks of production and operation alliance.
