Research On Strategy For China's Enterprises To Develop Transnational Operation

With the market economy, free economy and information economy speeding up steps, the 1980's witnessed a trend of globalization on the way. Under economy globalization, economic and trade connection between nations was strengthened. Transnational firms in some way compelled the formation of such trend, while in another way got a great push that had never been seen before from it. At this historical stage, China's entering the World Trade Organization is a new era with opportunities and challenges existing side by side. China should not drop out of the great trend of economy globalization, but should actively take part in the international share division, attract foreign capital and develop transnational operation at the same time, make full use of domestic and foreign market, so as to enhance the competitive force of both China as a whole and her enterprises. Under such condition, developing transnational operation is especially inevitable. From this point, this paper forwarded the strategy for China's enterprisesto develop transnational operation. The paper approximately generalized the current state of study on transnational operation in China and western countries, made a comparatively explicit definition for China's enterprises' transnational operation, introduced the current status, troubles China's enterprises' transnational operation under global environment. The paper summarized the transnational operation pattern of US, Japan and Korea and pointed out its reference to China's enterprises. The paper then analyzed the necessity and challenges for China's enterprises to implement transnational operation, demonstrated the feasibility of transnational operation from the point of view of opportunities and favorable factors in enterprises. Finally, the paper, by the use of others' experiences as reference, and with the combination of situations of China's enterprises' themselves, used mathematic formulas and other methods, presented the strategy for China's enterprises to develop transnational operation, including location strategy, industry strategy, financestrategy and so on. Furthermore, the paper specially singled out the role and functions played by government in this process and how it could give play to its functions. In the writing of the paper, the author used a great number of data and cases to make it founded on the basis of reality, with the purpose of affording some suggestions and strategic questionings for China's enterprises who will develop transnational operation.
