With the world entering the age of Global Economy and China entering the World Trade Organization, foreigner telecommunication corporations will enter Chinese telecommunication market. So Chinese telecommunication corporations should strongly increase their own core competence so as to seek existent and development.The paper firstly analyzes the meaning of corporations' core competence from various of aspects. Secondly the paper constructs a series of evaluating system of core competence basing on Chinese telecommunication corporations' own characteristics. The system has principally made some achievements in measuring the core competence from six aspects such as technique ability, management ability, financial standing, human resource factors, marketing ability and concept of value. The author describes the method of using the evaluation system through an assumption example to verify the rationality and the dependability of the evaluation system. At last the paper puts forward the method and path that Chinese telecommunication corporations evaluate and promote the core competence under the environment of knowledge economy, hoping it can offer some good suggestions for them.
