The Evaluation And Cultivation Of Core Competence

With the world entering the age of Global Economy, the core competence has been increasingly emphasized by Chinese enterprises. The paper mainly analyses the meaning of enterprises' core competence from various of aspects, making its theory more perfect, constructing a series of evaluating system of core competence. The system has principally made some achievements in measuringthe core competence from four aspects---competence strength, competencepotentiality, competence environment and competence state. And the author describes the method of using the system through an assumption example. At thesame time, the paper explains the question---How to raise the enterprisescore competence from strategy angle, providing a new idea of formulating the operating strategy. To some extent it can make up the disadvantage of the theory of core competence.In a word, according to the facts of Chinese enterprises, the paper discusses how to evaluate and cultivate the core competence under the environment of knowledge economy. It can offer some good suggestions to the current Chinese corporations.
