On The National Consciousness Of Chinese In 21st Century

The paper reviews historical fusion, education and development of the Chinese nation on the basis of analysis of scientific definition of the nation comprehensively, scientifically, and objectively according to the scientific theory of Marxism dialectical Materialism concerning material (social being) determines (social) awareness. It deals differently with the theoretical development of national consciousness in terms of developing viewpoint and through the comparative study of nationalism and national spirit. And it also discusses the erroneous zone, blind zone, and controversy in the contemporary study of the theory. Based on the reality of the new era economic globalization and initial stage of socialism of China, it elaborates the time background, connotative system and practical significance of the study and construction of national consciousness in 21st century at the same time. It also points out the importance of handling the problems related to the national consciousness nationally and internationally.
