The spatial distribution of industries is unbalanced, and the profit and deficit also gather in few industries.In the eastern industrial basis of Chengdu, the leading industry is not clear, it is difficult to play a growth-pole and promote the development of economy. It is very important and necessary to accelerate the industry innovation, develop leading industries, and improve social ensuring systerm. The traditional industry is the main sector of the industrial base of eastern Chengdu, its spacial distribution, trade structure and property structure are not rational, its competitive ability is insufficient; As a growth－role of Chengdu region, it is very difficult to promote the development of economy of Chengdu region because of the shortage of leading sector. The industrial base of eastern Chengdu will still make an important role in constructing a moderately well-off country and in the third economic development strategy. But in the future their development will face some challenges such as the challenge of the market economy, the challenge of the science innovation, the challenge of the promotion of the industrial structure, the challenge of the sustainable development and connotation development and the challenge of the global economy.
