Study On Demonstration On Security Price And Price Elasticity Of Electric Demand

The deregulation of power industry brings a strong impact on many aspects of power industry, especially, the risk on the maintenance of system security. How to maintain security is one of the key issues in the electricity market. The problem is addressed and the paper presents security price theory. Firstly, security price is defined. Then, On the basis of the qualitative analysis of security price, this paper presents the mathematic models of security pricing to calculate the security price, and also provides a numerical example to verify the feasibility of these models. In addition, by researching the theory of price elasticity of electric demand in the paper, function of security price is explained from the economic angle.
