After world war two, according to the arrangement and power comparison of great nations, the Yalta system characterized by bipolarity was formed. The two great camps was in fierce rivalry, then the USSR and USA vied for hegemony gradually. But there was great instability in both camps, and thus resulted in the disintegration of each camp and the development of other strategic powers. All these signs foretold that the multipolarization was breaking through the shackles of bipolarity and would become the mail inclination of future. The end of Cold War accelerated the process of multipolarization, and multipolarization has become one of the developing trend of contemporary world politics. At the same time, world people was tired of the war and hegemony pursuing of great powers, and was tired of the hierarchical system dominated by great powers. They asked strongly to push the democracy concepts into the field of international politics so as to achieve the purpose of international democratization, and use the law of right to substitute for the law of power. The international conditions after the Second World War made it possible for the international democratization to develop. After Cold War, international democratization broke through the shackles of bipolarity and showed an unobstructable trend. However, multipolarization and international democratization with the same origin of bipolarity, twisted together historically, and formed a new relation of mutual motivation. In the relations, there existed supporting points to promote the mutual motivation. On the other hand, there were also paradoxes in the relations, and thus the mutual motivation was not as harmonious as it should be.This article was divided into four parts:Part one: as the basis of analysis, this article first analyzed the concept ofmultipolarization and international democratization. Then described the developing process, contemporary developing state, and the main characters since world war two. The purpose was to show that multipolarization and international democratization were the two main trends of contemporary world politics.Part two: this part mainly analyzed the mutual motivated relations of multipolarization and international democratization. One side, multipolarization promoted international democratization; on the other side, international democratization disciplined and guided multipolarization. And this part also analyzed the concept of "balance of power", and pointed the differences between "balance of power" and multipolarization.Part three: this part further analyzed the mutual motivated relation of multipolarization and international democratization from the point of theory, and pointed the supporting points of mutual motivation, then summarized the supporting points as " agreement of anti-power politics", "connection of peace pursuing", and "similarity of power defusing and equilibrium".Part four: this part analyzed the paradoxes in the mutual motivated relation, and summarized them as "the paradox between the promotion to international democratization by multipolarization and the incomplete achievement of international democratization", and "the discipline and guild to multipolarization by international democratization and the irresistant influence on multipolarization by 'balance of power' and power politics".
