The Analysis Of Chinese "Harmonious World" View On International Order

Since1190s, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the end of the cold war, the poles of the order after the war which existed over40years was gradually collapsed. Under the specific background, the big change of world strategy pattern and the old international order of contradictions, most countries in the world, especially some big countries that are focused on their own strategic interests, have put forward the establishment of a new world order of all kinds of ideas and opinions for the good position in the future world order. The United States, Japan, China, Russia, the European Union come out with their proposals about the order of future world. In fact, more than ten years after the end of the cold war, international order is dominated by America’s "Unipolar hegemony". With the speeding up of globalization and greater interdependence between countries, many challenges such as terrorism, the spread of nuclear weapons, environmental degradation, economic recession, regional conflicts, and territorial disputes need all of the countries in the world to jointly cope with. After entering the new century, with the relative decline of American hegemony status, the political multi-polarization trend is increasingly obvious. How do the several of countries coexist in the complex multilateral relations of the communist party and deal with the common threat is a subject worth studying and thinking.On April22,2005in Jakarta Asia-Africa summit, Chinese leader Hu Jintao delivered a speech. It was his first time to propose the concept of "harmonious world". Its connotation is that to respect the countries’ rights to choose their own social systems and development paths, to promote countries according to their own national conditions to realize the revitalization and development, to strength the communication between different cultures, to maintain the diversity of civilizations in the spirit of equality and open, and to promote democracy in international relations and work together to establish the harmonious world with various civilizations. The concept of "Harmonious world" caused great sensation of the world opinion. The concept of "Harmonious world" is an extension of the Chinese traditional culture which affect from internal politics to international politics. It is also kinds of declaration of peace from a developing country. The concept of "Harmonious world", which are the logical development of Chinese traditional political culture and embodiment of the Chinese national personality, carries all of the Chinese hopes for the peace of the world and historical responsibility for the future development of human society. The concept of "Harmonious world" has become the core of the international strategic guiding ideology in China, and it is marked the Chinese strategic culture beyond the self. In the future,"harmonious world", the new international order, will surpass or replace western realism and liberalism which are the mainstream paradigm of international order. It becomes a kind of trend and the new international order concept of human desires. The answer depends on history, but it is also depends on whether there are more countries and more people to understand, accept and agree with it.
