Theorectical Comparation And Experience Review To The Construction Of Small Towns In West China

Urbanization is a main trend in the world economic and social development. The state of economic and social development judged by the high-low of urbanization. With the development of economy, the western region has made great progress, but the developing gap between West and East in China has been enlarged step by step. The focus of difference between West and East mainly was in the development of small cities and towns. In order to narrow the gap, coordinate region's economic development in the West and East, according to the condition in China, developed the small town in the western region is the best choice. The development of small cities and town is a very strategic significance to the west region's development and economic coordination between the two parts; it becomes urgent to develop the small cities and towns in the western region.This paper adopted analytic hierarchy method compared the theory of small towns in china from five aspects, disclosed the process of the development of small towns, generalized eight aspects of the developed theory in foreign small towns, it contains Region Integration Idea, Centro Theory, Grow Polar-nucleus Theory, Sustainable Development Theory, Desakote Theory, New Town theory, Shared Space Theory and Idio-centre Development Theory. On the base of compared theory, according to the divided norm of three districts in China, individual analyzed many examples of small towns among Eastern, Midland and Western. Generalized the experiences of success in the development of small towns of Eastern and Midland, and this experience enlighten small towns hi the west of China.The main problem is explored economic development of small towns in the west, adopted correlation knowledge of economy, analyzed the method to promote the development of economy. Themain means contains Make-up region seconomic networks, correctly selected mast industry, establishedplurality capital invested; accelemted enterprises in towns and towns focus to small towns and cultivatedthe goodness of entirely compete for small towns. Economic development is the most important respect among economy, society and construction, whereas they are promote, impact each other, neither canignore. Developed small town is the optimal and feasible selection in west of China, at current time; developed focal town is the main flow for western urbanization. On one hand, the West should actively absorb favourable experiences of developed countries and the China's east developing small towns, on the other hand, the West should associate the development of small towns with the industrial goodness and nature-resource characteristics of the west's each province and autonomous region. At the same time, the West should lay stress on quality and develop small towns, which is diversified, and full of regional color of the West, and having complete function.
