The Analysis Of The Yangtze River System Container Port Competitive Strategy

With the rapid development of economy in China, the situation of competitiveness and cooperation exists between regions is becoming more evident. The valley of Yangtze River, as the most direct and the most important supporting areas of Shanghai port, emerging fierce competition for supplying of goods to Shanghai port. In this paper, the important part is mainly studied on the competitive policies among ports along Yangtze River, in order to make the competitive strategies for Nanjing port and bring out theories and directions for other ports along Yangtze River, this paper establishes competitive games model, and then works out the relevant competitive strategies.Firstly, the status in quo of Yangtze River is presented including sea-routes course and vessel type, the setup and created quantity of container's transportation, the development status, layouts development trend of container trunk. Then it concludes the characters and brings forwards the main problems, that is lack of effective competitive strategies. The analysis of factors concerned with port's competition is the basic requirement of constituting competitive strategies. Based the different infection this part is mainly focused on building up the multiplayer evaluative index system and making out index's weight.The innovation in this paper is the game theory analysis on container ports along Yangtze River. Based on clarifying the relationship among every player and basic assumption, it brings out the non-cooperation dynamic game theory model under the restriction of ports' capacity combined with port's profit and cost model and resolve it to get the equilibrium.The important part of this paper lies in demonstration analysis on container ports competitive strategy of Nanjing port. This paper sums up the advantage and disadvantage, the opportunity and challenge of Nanjing port by comparing Nanjing port with Zhenjiang ports Zhangjiagang ports Nantong port and Taicang port. Besides this, the infection of building up the Shanghai International Shipping Center on Nanjing port is taken into account. Lastly, the competitive policies for Nanjing port is instituted by setting up and resolving a non-cooperate dynamics game theory model combined with imitate-truth and cost models' result.
