Research On Vacation Tourism Development In Shandong Province

With the development of Chinese tourism Industry and the improvement of the social and economic situation and standard of people's living, vacation tourism will be bound to become the trend of tourism in the future. Shandong province has plentiful costal and mountainous tourist resources, market potential. It is an important and critical task to study how to develop Shandong's vacation tourism, so as to improve the efficiency of tourist economy.On the foundation of studying the definition of vacation tourism, the attribute, characteristics and trend of vacation tourism was upheld in the thesis. Through analyzing the current situation of vacation tourism development in Shandong and its potential, some guidelines and suggestions are proposed for the future development. Four chapters are included:The first chapter is the introduction of vacation tourism. Based on the researches of other scholars', this thesis gives a comprehensive definition. Vacation tourism is marked for its demand and supply, which is the distinct characteristics, differed from other tourism modes. Here development process of vacation tourism in home and abroad is listed, it will be a use for reference. All the theoretical study is a preparation for analyzing Shandong's vacation tourism development.The second chapter is about the analysis of feasibility for Shandong's vacation tourism development. Four factors, which affect vacation tourism development, are listed here. They are physical resources, which involves the recreational resources, ecological environment, climate and sightseeing resources, social and economical condition, location and communication, and market condition. SWOT analysis, a strategic analysis method is used here to study the advantages and disadvantages, weakness and strength of the future development of Shandong's vacation tourism.The third chapter is the core of this thesis. Current condition of vacation tourism development in Shandong is thoroughly analyzed from two aspects: market and product. Then the direction and objective are clear for future development of Shandong's vacation tourism. According to the foregoing analysis, some practical conclusion and suggestion are proposed in order to guide the development of Shandong's vacation tourism.The fourth and last chapter is related to the development of resorts. There are 16 resorts in Shandong province, which are very important to Shandong's vacation tourism development. The task of this chapter is to study how to make these resorts development smoothly and effectively.
