Study On The Development Of Jiangxi Industrial Parks

In the recent 20 years, great progress has been achieved in China thanks to its reforms and open-door policy. In order to keep up with the development of the whole country, Jiangxi is seeking its own position and developing route. A blazing industrial park construction is in progress throughout the nation, and Jiangxi isn't of exception. In Jiangxi, there have been 118 industrial parks above county level up to August 2003. The primary problem is how to make them develop. This paper is trying to solve this problem. Plenty of material about the situation of the industrial parks and the industrial history of Jiangxi has been collected in this paper and I found out there are some problems as well as the achievement in the construction of the industrial parks, such as, reconstruction, enterprise network unformed, rootedness unformed, construction fund, education & training and attracting human resource, institutional thickness, environmental problem, etc. The developing experience of several representative domestic and foreign industrial parks is introduced and the enterprises cluster theory is adopted to analyze the industrial park in Jiangxi. The conclusion is given at the end of the thesis.The content of the thesis is divided into five parts. The structure of the thesis is shown as follows:The first part is the introduction of the basic theory of developing industrial parks.This part elaborates the enterprises cluster theory, which is the basic theory, used in the thesis. The definition of cluster is given and the competitive advantages of the enterprises cluster are illustrated. The competitive advantages are divided into two parts-direct economic factors and indirect economic factors. The correlative mechanism between industrial parks and enterprises cluster is elaborated and the conclusion is drawn that the development of the industrial parks should base on the enterprises cluster.The second part is the drawing lessons from the experience of the domestic and overseas industrial parks.The part is mainly about the developing experience of the domestic and overseas industrial parks and takes Silicon Valley and Xinzhu scientific industrial park as the instances. Silicon Valley is introduced at the angle of cultural system and innovativespirit and the emphasis is on the support system; the introduction of Xinzhu scientific industrial park focuses on the experience of attracting talents and the managing system. Irrespective of the characteristic of their own, the common point is that the development of the two is based on enterprises cluster.The third part is the illustration of the historical changes and current situation of the industrial development and the necessity of developing industrial parks.It retrospects the history of the industrial development in Jiangxi, and points out the existing problem in the process of industrialization. It analyzes the macroeconomic situation of Jiangxi and points out some problems to be solved in the industrialization and draws the conclusion that the industrialization should be realized by means of developing the industrial parks.The fourth part is about the current situation and existing problem in the development of the industrial parks in Jiangxi and points out the existing problems: reconstruction, insufficient construction capital, etc. It analyzes the causes of the problems.The fifth part is the countermeasure and suggestion of developing the industrial parks in Jiangxi.This part applies the enterprises cluster theory to the analysis of the existing problems of the development of the industrial parks in Jiangxi. And according to the experiences of the domestic and overseas industrial parks, it gives the countermeasures and suggestions that the development of the industrial parks be based on the enterprises cluster theory. It also gives the function orientation of the industrial parks and points out the governmental role in the development of the industrial parks.
