Many environmental changes of intra-extra airlines will put great influences on it due to the air transport industry is belong to the highest rank of risk. For the purpose of effectively response to crisis and minimizing the damages of crisis, airlines should establish a good system of crisis management according to the theory of crisis management and its practice. This paper presents a basic framework for the crisis management of airlines according the introduction and analysis of crisis management theory and crisis causes of intra-extra airlines. Then an analysis is given to the case of Emergency Response Manual of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited following the framework. And conclusions are draw out expecting to be useful to the crisis management of airlines.The paper starts with the introduction of the objectives of the study, paper organization and research scope following the describing of airlines crisis in resent years. Next is the introduction and discussion of crisis management theory, which includes the basics to crisis, crisis management and the model of crisis management, the chronology of crisis management, organizational behaviors in crisis management, enterprise life-cycle and crisis management. Then, by the discussion of the nature, society, industry and airlines itself, the third chapter analyses the crisis causes in the environments of intra-extra airlines, and a conclusion about airlines crisis is given out. Based on the above, the following chapter presents abasic framework of safety, market and finance crisis management segment for airlines crisis management. After that, an analysis is given to the case of Emergency Response Manual of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations are summarized to the work of airlines crisis management and Emergency Response Manual of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited.
