A Study On The Regional Economic Cooperation Between The Eastern And The Western

The cooperation of the regional economy embodies concretely the demand of the interest growth of the regional economy in space. It is an effective way to break through the single regional resources and the limit of productivity. The most essential contents of it are the motion and the re-collocation of productive factors between regions. The cooperation of the regional economy between the eastern and the western belongs to one kind of the regional economic cooperation. The re-collocation and innovation of the productive factors can promote the regional economic growth, exploit the human resources, accelerate the technique advancement, stimulate the conversion of economic structure, motivate the innovation of the regional institution, and push the whole social progress. At present, the running mechanism of the regional economic cooperation between the eastern and the western depends mainly on two paths: one is to hold the conference of the enterprises among provinces to realize the interregional cooperation by leading of the officials. The other is that the enterprises make decisions independently on the basis of the market mechanism. By the demonstration research of the regional economic cooperation between Gansu and Zhejiang, the thesis summarizes the fruits of the cooperation, discusses the phrasal characters of the regional economic cooperation and the law of the mutual effects between the regions. The businessmen of Zhejiang had managed the shops in Gansu with a little capital before the 1990s, and initiated the specialized markets to enter the commodity market of the western in the middle of 1990s. Today the investments of Zhejiang in Gansu have involved many fields, such as the commerce and trade, the real estate business, the building industry, the goods flow industry, the food processing industry, the clothing processing industry, the tourism, the credit guarantee industry, the ecological agriculture, and the catering service industry etc. The regional cooperation relates to the mode of the development of the economy in Zhejiang nearly, and makes the prominent fruits, which embodies fully the characters of the mutual effects onthe interregional development. Compared with the factor structures, the demand structures and the industry structures of Gansu with those of Zhejiang, the conclusion is drawn that the regional economic cooperation between Gansu and Zhejiang has the natural material foundation, the socioeconomic condition and the mutual complementarity in the industry structures of the both sides. Therefore, the prosperity of the regional economic cooperation between Gansu and Zhejiang is accord with the laws of the development of the economy, and there is a particular tendency of deepening and extending the cooperation, which shows fully the phrasal characters of the regional economic cooperation between the eastern and the western.If the regional economic cooperation between the eastern and the western will realize greater progress, it must innovate on the choice of cooperation forms of the enterprises and break through the establishment of the governmental policies. Now, the regional economic cooperation between the eastern and the western has formed gradually the running mechanism, which is driven by market mechanism, promoted by government, and supported by agency organizations. With the development of the running mechanism toward marketlization, normalization, and institutionalization, the regional economic cooperation between the eastern and the western must develop more deeply and prosperously.
