The Research And Developmental Strategy Of Seed Industry

The entry of WTO for China is not only the external requirement to adapt to global economy but also the necessary result of the opening reform and development of socialism market economy in China. The practice proves that China's entry of WTO has had enormous impulses and deep effects on the development of economy, agriculture and county. The seed industry of China is confronted with opportunities and challenges.By using the method of combination of Marxism philosophy theory and practice, the new problems and situations of china's seed industry under current environment were discussed in the paper.Firstly, 3 characteristics and trends of the seed industry in the word, i.e. intensive concentration of seed industry, annexation and recombination and the trends of large scale, collectivization and internationalization, the biotechnology development in seed industry, were analyzed. And the current status and trends of china' seed industry were as follows: the seed industry had bright future; the relevant laws and regulations were on the healthy way; the concentration of seed industry was becoming intensive; breeding technology of hybrid rice and gene advanced rapidly, which played an important role in increment of science and technology in seed industry. But some problems couldn't be ignored.Secondly, the writer analyzed the current status and development of seed industry hi Hunan Province, and pointed out that there existed 7 problems of Hunan seed industry, especially hybrid rice seed.Thirdly, through analyzing operation capability and SWOT, the current status and developmental strategies of Yahua Seeds were studied, so did the choice and design of developmental strategy.Finally, the influences of entry of the WTO on the seed industry in Hunan were discussed, and 9 pieces of advice to answer the entry of WTO were as follows: to fit for the demand of the market economy, making the law and regulation and administrative organization for seed more perfect; affording more funds for seed research and high science and technology in agriculture; recombining the state-owned seed enterprises to enhance their competitive ability; constructing unified seed market through rebuilding its structure; strengthening the innovation of technology; setting up the commercial mechanism for science and technology results; grasping the opportunity of the entry of WTO; strengthening the research on seed-marketing; adjusting the structure of seed enterprise to make it adapt to development strategies. The above countermeasure and advice would play great role in practice.
