Studies On Present Situation And Development Strategy Of Agriculture Extension In China

The paper firstly analyzed present situation of agriculture extension at home and abroad, summarized overseas successful experience of agriculture extension and the problems existing extension in china; secondly, investigated the culture quality, mental character of Chinese farmers, and analyzed influence. The author pointed out that poor education, conservative mind were the "bottle neck" factors of extending new technology and new achievement of agriculture, and the present extension model lacks effective methods on production and management, it can not match the need of farmer's production and rural economy development. The author pointed out that educational extension model should be popularized, and then compared the investigation datas and experimental datas collecting from three rural vocational schools of Zhumadian City, Henan Province. The results showed that the educational extension model holding by rural vocational school can strengthen the ability of production and management, improve the weakness of education of peasants; at the same time, the results showed the rural vocational school found wider space for their reforms. Finally, this paper discussed the strategy of agriculture extension in China and the author held that reforming of extension system, cooperation of extension subject and building a new system are the important task of agriculture extension in china.
