In 2003, the motorcar production of our country amounted to 24 million, China will become the largest countries output and spending of motorcar in the world after 10 to 15 years. According to determining, upwards 80 percent offal gases was came from the past motorcar. In addition, it will work many community problems, such as environment and traffic safety and etc. Circular economy seeks to make the economical activities more ecologic by using natural resources and environmental capability in environment-benign ways. Since sustainable development strategy was highlighted in 1992, circular economy has been considered to be an important approach to sustainable development. By taking three basic principles (reducing, reusing and recycling), circular economy provides a strategic pattern to transfer the traditional economy to the sustainable one. The concept of circular economy and its three basic principles are firstly presented in this paper. Then, the-state-of-the-arts is described roughly. Finally, four suggestions are provided on how to promote circular economy in China:(i) change design principles and thinking ways to consider simultaneously economic, social and environmental effects, pay full attention to materials reusing and recycling; (ii) depend on science and techniques; (iii) make full use of resources, minimize the waste by taking reducing, reusing and recycling measures; (iv) take a more scientific and strict management.
