With the development of global tourism economy, tourism influence people's life style and economical behavior model more and more, as well as the economical development of each tourism destination countries. World Tourism Organization had proposed the Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) to evaluate and measure the economic impact and contribution of tourism, with the aim that each tourism destination countries may adjust the content of tourism account on the basis of the same concept and classification system, besides, they may select and decide the feasible aggregates and tables according to their own specific conditions under the guideline supplied by World Tourism Organization. Thus the international comparison is possible, and the more important is that it may help the tourism destination countries to develop the macro strategy and specific measurements of tourism.This article begin with the quotation of the concept of TSA, then, it introduce and analyze the concepts, classifications, aggregations, and tables involved in TSA, at the same time of knowing the TSA, it shows the basic characteristics of it, such as scientific, strictness and so on, it also envelop that it is urgent to enforce TSA, as well as the necessity andpossibility to build up the national TSA of China.To build the national TSA of China is the need of scientific tourism statistics, and the need of international comparison of tourism information. TSA reflects how and what extent that tourism influence the national social economy from the point of national economic account, to put TSA into practice is a wise choice to develop intensive tourism in China.
