The developing strategy of secondary battery industry in China is discussed and analyzed. Facing the tremendous global battery market of USD 20 billion, the domestic battery manufacturers is up against the key period of development. According to the detailed analysis of the internal and external environment of the industry, the strategic solution of Chinese battery industry is presented by means of the method of strategic analysis and evaluation. It will accelerate the promotion of China from the "big battery manufacturing country" to the "powerful battery manufacturing country", and realize the overall enhance of Chinese battery industry.The secondary batteries presented in the article include various lead-acid batteries, Ni-Cd batteries, Ni-MH batteries and Li-ion batteries. The high-speed development of battery industry, as the "sun-rising industry" in the 21st century, not only boosts the popularization of mobile communication and portable devices, but also drives the development of new material, machining and other related industries. The development and grandness of Chinese battery industry will greatly boost the progress steps of the information economy in China.The strategic analysis theories, including the Theory of Industrial Environment Analysis and the Theory of Industrial Competition Structure presented by Porter, the Theory of Life Period of Product, the Analysis Theory of Core Competition, etc, are applied in the article for the first time in China, while the Analysis Model for Strategic Development of Chinese Battery Industry is established. The Evaluation Model for the Strategic Developing Element of Chinese Battery Industry is also established by means of the evaluation methods to strategic elements, such as the Gradation Analysis Method, the Analysis of External Environment Element—EFE Matrix, the Analysis of Internal Environment Element—IFE Matrix and the Analysis of Comprehensive Elements—SWOT Matrix. The establishment of the models will boost the rapid and healthy progress of Chinese battery industry.
