It is generally considered as "keeping historical records" about business document management. This view ignores something important inside these documents to enterprises' decision-making information. Enterprises need cooperation and sharing while it is facing competitors, especially those documents in which lots of data are useful. It is clear that Enterprises should participate in business management and Provide decision-making information service for managers, Otherwise they will not grasp the opportunity followed by knowledge economy.Through building Business Document Knowledgebase, Cooperation and sharing knowledge could be achieved whether the staff retrieve and contribute at any time and any where.This paper consists of four parts. It starts from what it means to enterprise decision-making and knowledge explanation, as well as its consequence to business document management. Then, It is suggested that establishing Business Document Knowledgebase to reach the knowledge service requirement after comparing and analysis of document management system today.In response to this topic, It is necessary to make clear that all the concepts and arithmetic about knowledgebase application. So that all the problems can be easily resolved by the people while they are facing how to construct knowledgebase and explain the knowledge inside these documents.Part 3 is the key of this paper, It is known that only those meaningful data in the business process should be kept and their meanings should be explained by the right way. Due to its power in data explanation and data processing, XML is applied to information explanation. Meanwhile, It is also introduced the system of concept retrieval for XML documents.At last, It presents how to establish Business Document knowledgebase, such as its designing aims, its system architecture, its operation guide. It also shows how to find new knowledge with the help of deductive inference tool at this Business Document Knowledgebase.
