This thesis mainly focuses on the reform of European Union common agriculture policy in 2003. With the constantly deepening of economic globalization, especially with the development of the global multilateral trade system, the agricultural problems have drawn more and more attention from the public. European Union, as one of the three biggest economic embodies in the world, its common agriculture policy has been its integrated pillar all the time. The reform on European Union common agriculture policy in 2003 was performed due to the internal cause of its eastward expansion and the external cause of the new round multilateral trade negotiation. To be distinguished from all previous reforms in the past, it speed up the steps of internalization remarkably. The European Union common agriculture policy will place itself more to the WTO framework, it indicate that European Union will make a farewell to the "distorted trade" agricultural policies, and begin to perform the agricultural policies favorable to global trade. In addition, the reform has more contents different from the past. Therefore, the studies and analysis on the causes, contents and economic effects of the new reform of European Union common agriculture policy will be theoretically and practically significant to the research of China's agricultural policies.This thesis is grouped into four parts. In chapter 1 ,we recall the history of the reforms on European Union common agriculture policy;Chapter 2 analyses the causes, contents of the European Union common agriculture policy. Chapter 3 analyses the economic effects of the new European Union common agriculture policy reform's core contents with the correlative economic theories. Chapter 4 analyses the effects on the European Union itself and the world economy, and come up with the inspirations to China's agricultural policies according to the contents and theoretical analysis of the reform.
