The Research On The Sustainable Development And Industry Choice In Yantai Region

As a popular idea of development, sustainable development theory emphases on the combination of economic growth, social progress and the harmonious relationship between human and nature. As an eastern city in China, Yantai should carry on this theory thoroughly. This thesis discussed in three parts applies sustainable development theory to analysis the choice of industry in Yantai. In the first part, a systemic introduction of sustainable development theory is given. In the second part, according to the index system which is used to measure the sustainable development degree, a judge of the sustainable development degree in Yantai is made. The main obstacles are shortage of water and talents and excesses of labor force. In the third part, the author insists that the right of industry choice is the key to solve the relationship among economy, society and nature. Some suggestions of industry choice in Yantai are put forward to in the end.
