Research On Sustainable Regional Economic Development In Unbalanced Situation

There has been growing attention and significant progress on regional economic development research. The practice of economic development in China indicates that within the broad context of economic globalization, further efforts are still needed for regional economic research based on system transformation and modernization in China. The basis for development, economic and technological condition, especially many complicated factors involved in the process of the system transformation lead to a series of conspicuous regional problems. These problems not only have an immediate impact on regional economic development, but also have a profound impact on the economic development and modernization of the whole nation and even the general situation of reform, development and stability in China. Therefore the integral coordinative development of regional economy is an important task of overall significance.This article thoroughly analyzes regional economy theory and sustainable development theory, discusses existing problems in current research work, and proposes a theoretical framework and evaluation system and approaches, by which empirical evidence is analyzed. Its innovation lies in the following aspects:This article discusses the concept and principle of unbalanced and sustainable regional economic development, the positive impact of unbalanced regional economic development, and its negative impact on sustainability. It also proposes scientific theoretical construction of unbalanced and sustainable regional economic development. To be specific, it states that for China's further economic growth, the former policy of regional development should be adjusted. Evaluation index system for sustainable regional development is divided into six big subsystems, including social subsystem, population subsystem, economic subsystem, resources subsystem, environment subsystem, science and education subsystem. Sustainable regional development is rated by comprehensive multi-index evaluation system. This index system provides scientific evidence for evaluating regional economic development in China and orienting policy for coordinative and sustainable social economic development in China.Based on careful analysis and accurate evaluation of regional economic development of Hebei Province, in terms of the dimensions of population, resources, ecology, economic structure, science and education, unbalanced development within the province, this article thoroughly explores existing problems, and puts forward the strategy and tactics for the sustainable development of Hebei Province. It has great significance for the sustainable development of Hebei Province and that of the Beijing Area.This article does a comprehensive and systematic analysis on the problems involved in achieving sustainable regional economic development in unbalanced situation.
