Study And Application On Logisticss Management Informatization In Steel Enterprises Based On Supply Chain

With the rapid development of information technology and economy globalization, steel enterprises are encountered with intensifying competitions. To survive this environment, steel enterprises should be able to respond the changing market needs swiftly, optimize logistics resources, and lower logistics costs. In this way, logistics efficiency could be promoted. Therefore, subjects talked in this paper gain great weights in improving logistics management level and informationization degree, as well as improving competitive ability of steel enterprises.Business logistics management and related informationization theory are analyzed in this paper. On the basis of the detailed investigation of a steel company, the main flows of its present logistics management are summarized. After the analysis and diagnoses of these flows, problems of its logistics management are pointed out. Besides, informationization requirements of its logistics management are put forward in this paper.Besides, steel enterprises' logistics management is carefully studied from the supply chain point of view, and supply-chain-based logistics management model of steel enterprises is brought forward. Based on supply chain, activity-based cost analysis method is applied to reengineer the business processes of the company's logistics management. Associated with the actual situation of the steel company, function model of the supply-chain-based steel enterprises' logistics management system is built and its unique functions are also analyzed in this paper.Moreover, after analysis and comparison of different popular development projects of Management Information System and software development technology, object oriented development method and B/S infrastructure are selected for the system. Besides, supply-chain-based system structure is set up for this logistics management information system.Finally, on the background of the informationization of steel enterprises, an inventory management system, which is a subsystem of the supply-chain-based steel enterprises' logistics management information system, is designed, developed and realized. By this means, logistics informationization of steel enterprises is achieved to a certain extent. This system is of good expansibility, maintenance and integration.Part of the results of the above research have been put into practice in a company, and it shows that it solved most problems existed in the company's logisticsmanagement, helped the company realize the informationization of its logistics management partially, increased its logistics management level, cut its logistics costs, improved its logistics efficiency, and enhanced its competitive ability.
