Jinan Iron And Steel Logistics Management System

Joining WTO, the state-owned corporations which have just changed from a planned economy to a market economy, will face new challenges in the international market. As one of the old steel corporations, Jinan Steel Co. should develop new methods to increase profit, and the theory of logistics can help us.On the modern theory and investigation of logistics, this paper designs concrete system and modes of logistics for Jinan Steel Co., having analyzed its actual state in logistics, it especially pays attention to optimizing the old system and reorganizing the flow with the help of system analysis and integral programming in operations reseach. Part one of this paper is a summary of modern theory of logistics, which briefly introduces applicable logistics theory and its developing course and the theory of supply chain management and MRP theory. Part two of this paper analyizes the actual state of Jinan Steel' s logistics management and finds the existing problems include production logistics, marketing logistics supplying logistics, the orgnization of logistics management and the management of logistics information, to find an entrance to research optimizing logistics system of Jinan Steel Co.. Part three of the paper makes deep recommendations on the project in optimizing the system of Jinan Steel Co. 's production logistics, marketing logistics, supplying logistics, the integration of organization in logistics management and the project of information system of logistics. In order to make the consolidated organization of logistics management, this part of the paper gives ideas in setting up new management modes.
