The national interest is the foundation that the national-states survive and develop in the international societies, which determines the foreign policies and foreign behavior of a state. But what it is, and how it confirms, the international politics community has not set up an effective analysis frame. Deng Xiaoping is the first leader in our country regarded the national interest as the foreign policy basic-stone and applied it to the practice clearly. He remarked on the national interest many times. The studies on the view of Deng xiaoping's national interest are abundant, but it has not yet been found that how Deng xiaoping constructed Chinese national interest. The article studies the diplomatic practice that Deng Xiaoping dealt with the Sino-US relations, attempt to explain what is the national interest, what is Chinese national interest, and how does it construct. It would make our national interest of the new period clearer, and answer how to construct it also. So, it has a strong realistic meaning and theory value.Criticized the international political theory, the article defines the concept of "the national interest" strictly: meeting needs that the national-states survives, develops and values in the modern international societies. According to important degree and characteristics, the contents of the national interest can be divided into national survive interests, national development interests and national value interests. As it can't be separated completely, the three parts can be distinguished one another as well. Through forming the shared ideas, constructing common culture in different communities, with the appearance of the national-state and the international societies, the national interest is internalized to the state construction by the identity and interaction between international and domestic societies. The second part analyses the practice that Deng Xiaoping constructed Chinese national interest. Improved by the science-tech and economic development, the complex interdependence of states has constructed the new culture and formed new norm of international societies. With the development of domestic community and economy, China has abolished the dogma of ideology, and begins to accept the common norm and institution of international societies, to form new national internalization and identity. And the new phases of Sino-US relations make it possible for China to re-construct its national interest. Then the article has comparatively analyzed re-constructing to Chinese national interest in the course of dealing with the diplomatic practice of the Sino-US relations by Deng Xiaoping in detail. At the end of the seventies of the 20th century, centering on the reunification of Taiwan, China and the United States have constructed the national interest of China through transnational interactions: America acknowledges that "there is only one China", "Taiwan is one part of China". Meanwhile, our state constructed a peaceful external environment, promote the national development interests. At the end of the eighties and the beginning of the 1990s, because of the change of the international social environment and the emergence with the domestic political disturbance of Beijing, the identity of China to U.S. has changed. The United States attempts to interfere the Chinese domestic affairs and to change the socialist system of China by sanctions. Still, China emphasizes "state sovereignty, national security should be placed primacy all the time". It must not be ambiguous in defending national independence, sovereignty, and national dignity, and must adhere to the socialism system in China. US admit Chinese survive interests and value interests finally, the identity of China and Chinese national interest was constructed.
