An Exploration Of The Interaction Between Voluntary Service Associations And Governmental System: A Study In Corporatism--The Example Of Four Cases In Jiangsu Province

The re-orientation of governmental function is comprehensively reflected in the reform of the relationship between government and society . The movement of the governmental reform in western countries optimizes the governmental performance , and non-governmental associations play a more important role in public affairs than before .which has led the public association revolution worldwide .At the same time , public associations contributes increasingly to the implementation of governmental politics and the development of the society.Based on the specific historical and cultural background .public associations in China have been obviously characterized by the government in cooperation with the development of public associations . This system embodies some principles of western corporatism , but not always so . It seems that it' s a compromise of the state and societal corporatism theory .Based on the analysis and summary on corporatism .using Suzhou Young Volunteers Association and Suzhou Cancer Rehabilitation Association as subjects , in the paper the author has analyzed the relationship between the two associations and the local government in detail ,and testified the hypothesis beforehand . In the light of the matters arising from the development of public associations in China , against analysis the author has put forward his suggestions and expected to find a better means to integrate the public function with the government' s.
