PDM is a new management thought and technique. It can be defined as a technology, which based on software technique, regarding product as the core, and realized whole management on the related data, process, resources in product. Relied on the IT technique, it is a valid and optimized management method in enterprises, and is an outcome of the combining together scientific management frame and realistic problem in enterprises. It is also a kind of product that computer technique combined together with corporate culture.As the result of increasing market competition and rapid change of customer's requirements, manufacturing enterprises especially those, develop and produce large and complex products, promote new requirements against product structure management. Practically product structure management base on PDM architecture is one absolutely necessary core function of enterprise e-manufacturing supporting platform. This thesis therefore steps from the requirements of enterprise product design management and focus on studies on theory, method and implementation technology of product structure management improve PDM systems' applicability, which is expected to offer a solution for vast problems in information management upon enterprise product design.This thesis introduce the function of product structure manage in PDM. Then according to the investigation put forward the function request that business enterprise to the product construction manage. Aiming at the business enterprise need and combines traditional product design theories. A product structure integration information model is then built up over analysis on the process, in which the product structure was created. This model tends to secure the effective management of product structure management and relative diverse information. This thesis puts forward a PDM architecture that supports product structure management from the angle of software implementing. Technology of database, C/S are generally included as this architecture supporting technologies. This thesis primarily makes a thorough study of data structure constructing forms and arithmetic that realize these forms, which in a whole help to implement productstructure management. Lastly realized those following function by programme, part lib management base on group technology, product magement, BOM multi-view management.
