ORACLE ERP Implementation Methodology And Its Application In The Telecom Enterprise

ERP implementation is one of the key factors of an ERP project, and a mature ERP implementation methodology is indispensable to a successful ERP implementation. Not only does a mature ERP implementation methodology include integrated system info, but also have a good maneuverability, at the same time, could it direct the implementation well. Oracle ERP Method is just a mature and integrated methodology like this. But, it is not enough for a successful ERP project if there is only a good methodology. A good methodology must be combined with the actual instance of an enterprise. However, it is very difficult how a methodology could be combined with the actual instance of an enterprise. It is a pity that there is few study by now, which discusses how implement a methodology in a specifically enterprise. So basing on this factor, this thesis introduced the Oracle AIM (Application Implementation Method) and PJM (Project Management) first, and then discussed the characteristics of the telecom industry and the operation demands of China Mobile, and gave a particular analysis how aim at the characteristics and operation demands to implement the ERP project. This thesis specially analyzed the difficulties of ERP implementation, its reason and how to resolve it; specially analyzed the operation demands of China Mobile, and its impact to the related implementation phase; specially analyzed the possible risks of the China Mobile ERP project, its reason and risk force to the project, and how to cope with it. The Oracle ERP implementation methodology is the springboard of this thesis, but the actual instance of China Mobile is a core theme always. I do my best to combine the methodology with the actual implementation, and try to give a reference for other to implement the Oracle methodology in a telecom enterprise or similar enterprises.
